Lose a Little, live a lot…….
Just by losing 10% of your body weight can make a difference to the risks that being overweight can bring - risks such as high cholesterol, poor diabetic control and even risk of development of some cancers.
Small changes to your diet and exercise may be all it takes. Recommended exercise is five sessions of 30 minutes weekly. Attention to portion sizes and therefore reducing calorie intake is one of the ways we can help and advise you at the surgery.
We have pedometers we can loan to you free of charge to encourage you to take more steps a day.
We will monitor your BP regularly, carry out your routine checks such as Diabetes, Asthma, lifestyle to try and help you to be and stay healthy.
