Nurse Practitioner:
Jacquie is able to consult with you on a wide variety of ailments. A Nurse Practitioner is a specialist nurse who has undertaken further study. This enables her to take on some of the traditional roles of the family doctor. She is able to diagnose and treat patients, prescribe appropriate medication, arrange investigations and make referrals to a hospital specialist, by offering advice on the phone or by appointment. This therefore gives much support to the Doctor and helps to provide a speedier service to patients.

Practice Nurse Appointments: Our nurses provide a wide range of nursing and health promotion services.  You can make an appointment without seeing the doctor.

Health Care Assistant / Student Nurse: Sharron, our Student Nurse, and Kelly, our Health Care Assistant, are able to take blood for routine blood tests, do blood pressure tests and ECGs.  They can also do spirometry (lung function tests), change dressings and give advice about stopping smoking.
